Our company has never held advertising agencies in high esteem. Over the years, we attempted time and time again to create a working relationship with various agencies, but even after detailed briefs and explanations, we were continually frustrated by advertising suggestions as campaign ideas which did not even come close to what we were trying to achieve with our company and brand image.

I virtually gave up. I met Bijay Kalsy while he was still residing in the UK. Since that time, some 13 years ago, Bijay has developed not only our advertising, but also logo design, promotional literature, greeting cards etc. In short, if creativity is required, Bijay is called!

Bijay is a member of a rare and dwindling breed of admen – he can strategise; he can manage a client; he can write; he can draw; he can go on-line; and he can produce the final product – all by himself. Indeed, he would be my Creative Director if he wasn’t so damned independent!

Much of our work together has been on one single demanding client – InsuranceLine. Together we created a unique brand in one of the most inhospitable of product categories: life insurance. At all times Bijay delivered a look and feel completely consistent with the brand guidelines he himself created. And the results were always there at the end of the day. We’ll work together again on another brand soon – and unlike with many of his so-called peers, I thoroughly look forward to that day.
